...of stars EP

So after a bunch of delays with recording the ...of stars EP, I decided to screw multi-tracking on this release and just record the songs in their pure form as I originally wrote them. Thus, the recording is finished, and I'm gonna get some blank tapes in soon and finish the artwork so I can finally have this release out. It's lo-fi and has some playing mistakes, but it captures the spontaneity of how this material is written.

Recording is coming along, I hope to have the ...of stars release completed fairly soon, though with my upcoming schedule I can't set a definitive release date. Also, I have decided to drop the name of boundary peak 71 for my ambient/drone recordings, they have taken on a different feel than originally planned, and the name has changed accordingly. These recordings will now be under the moniker of coalsack, and the ep will be titled "nostalgic dusk." It is half written with some scratch recordings of what I have already, and the 2nd half is still in progress.

Due to malfunctioning equipment, recording is being delayed. I'm working out a new recording setup, which will hopefully be ready soon.

002 and update.

I would like to announce what will be the second release in the void journeys catalog, coalsack - nostalgic dusk tape ep. Guitar drone/ambient. Recording for this release will commence late june/early july.

As for 001, the ...of stars tape, recording for that will be done next week, and I am in the process of assembling artwork. I still forsee a late june release date.

Introduction & First Release

Void Journeys is/will be a D.I.Y. label for releasing various recordings in the folk, drone, ambient, black metal, and doom metal realms in very limited quantities within a specific aesthetic. No contact yet, as the label is not fully up and running.

The first true Void Journeys release, 001, will be the ...of stars - s/t tape EP. 4 songs of acoustic night worship. Limited to 30 copies. A late June/early July release date is expected, but subject to change.

002 is also in the works, but is at a much, much earlier stage. It will be formally announced sometime in June, likely for an Autumn release date.
